On the Course... On to competition news now and the Men’s Mid-week Stableford Finals Day where a superb 96 players took part. David Church won the day with a superb 45 points beating David Tungate in to second with 41 points and Paul Platten in to third with 40 points who beat Matt Alp and a Greg Carter on countback, also with 40 points. In the overall Summer Stableford Aggregate, where the best 8 scores count towards your total, Rob Allen capped off his brilliant year by winning with a total 311 points for his 8 rounds, that’s an average of 38.875 points per round, superb stuff!! Barry Manser came second with 306 points and Tony Wren third with 303 points. On Sunday the men played the October Stableford in very difficult, windy, cold conditions where Mark Seeley shot 40 points to claim Division One beating Bob Richardson in to second with 36 points. In Division Two Marcus Mason won with 39 points and Clyde Leggett second with 37 points. In Division Three Barry Landles won with 34 points. |
