Christmas Lesson Packages
We'll start this week with coaching news, with Christmas fast approaching and if you're struggling to know what you want for a present, how about a lesson package to get your game in shape ready for the season next year? The best value package is the unlimited lesson package for a year. This gives us a great chance to work on some long term goals to improve your game. As most of you know, I have done a few of these over the last year and they have worked really well with every single golfer improving tremendously over that time. In the newsletter over the next few weeks I will be publishing some testimonials from the golfers who have done the unlimited packages to let you know their thoughts. First up is Bob Picton who, after initially taking a few lessons in the early part of the year, decided that he wanted to do 12 months of unlimited lessons in May. Here is what he has had to say and before you all say anything, no I didn't pay him to say it!
"I first had a lesson with Duncan about a year ago and straight away found him easy going and willing to work with my swing. He was clear on what I needed to work on to improve my game and made it easy to understand without changing everything. I had a couple more lessons with him which I always enjoyed and learnt how I could improve my golf with a few small changes and practice.
I then decided last May to take advantage of Duncan's offer of a year's coaching and I am really glad that I did. He has continued to knock the slice out of me and given me drills to use when I practice rather than just hitting balls. I have been able to hit it straighter than I ever could in 30 odd years of playing and have got down to my lowest ever playing handicap. I have won a couple of club competitions including Beat the Pro which was really satisfying as it was good to play against Duncan and win!
Throughout the year we have been on the practice ground using the Explanar which I found really useful, on the course learning different shots, on the putting green practicing chipping and in the shop using the simulator which gives you all of the numbers on your ball striking. Basically Duncan usually asks me what I want to work on and he then helps me out. I also find it really useful having regular lessons with Duncan because the bad habits do not get a chance to creep back into your game.
I would strongly recommend that if you are serious about finding out what is achievable with your golf swing, as I was, that you take up six months or a year's coaching with Duncan as you will find his knowledge and attitude outstanding. It would be a perfect time to get a Christmas present worth having."
Unlimited lessons for a year costs £495 and includes unlimited use of the Swing Zone to practice the skills we learn in the lessons. As the name suggests, unlimited means unlimited, but generally we work on an hours lesson every week, anymore and the brain my not be able to cope,. You will also have a playing lesson every month to check progress, but obviously we can do more if and when required. The six month unlimited package has all the same benefits, but costs £295.
For those that have not got the time or means to improve their games with unlimited packages, then I still have my traditional packages as follows:
- Platinum Plus which consists of a 60 minute on-course game assessment, six 30 minute lessons and one 9-hole on-course playing lesson. £150.
- Platinum - One 60 minute on-course game assessment plus six 30 minute lessons. £120.
- Gold - Six 30 minute lessons. £90.
- Silver - One 60 minute game assessment plus three 30 minute lessons. £75.
- Bronze - Three 30 minute lessons. £49.
All of the lesson packages can come in a nice Gift Certificate to be opened on the big day if required. Click here to get in touch for more details.
On the Course...

On Sunday we had the November Medal with Jack Butcher winning Division One with a nett 69. In Division Two Mark Everard also won with a nett 69 beating Andy Garforth in to second with a nett 71 and in Division Three David Mills won with a nett 70 beating Alan Leggett in to second with a nett 72.
