With the golf course being closed since last Wednesday and only open on Tuesday I don't have much competition news to report on, so we'll start this week with some pro shop news and as well as our January Sale we also have a new promotion "Cash for Clubs"!

Clubs for Cash!

Do you have any old clubs cluttering up the garage? If so here at the pro shop we now have an eBay shop. If you have any old clubs lying around, this is the time to sell them. All you need to do is drop them into the shop, we will assess them, put them straight onto our site at a sensible selling price and if they sell, the money, less eBay and PayPal selling fees (around 10%) goes straight on to your golf shop account!

Price Match Policy and Non-stocked Products

As I have stated recently, please remember that we can source product we do not stock and will always endeavour to price match where we can. Your business is very important to us and we appreciate every opportunity to secure it. I would also like to make you aware that as part of Foremost Golf, the UK's largest buying group, we can source products through our central warehousing even if we don't stock the product on the shop floor.

Friday Night Swing Zone Challenge 

We did have some competition at the golf club last week, in the Swing Zone. Friday night saw Daniel Crosby, Matt Alps, Chris Duffy and Jamie Bool take part in the Friday Night Texas Scramble Challenge. Being the good golfers that they all are, they got the hang of the simulator very quickly especially the putting and managed to produce a score of 32 gross (nett 31) over the back nine of The Brabazon at The Belfry course. Well done gents a great score! Next up this Friday, 15 January at 6pm we have Mark Allen, Andy Garforth, Martin Potter and M. Allen Jnr.

News from the lesson tee...

I continue to be busy in my nice dry/warm Swing Zone and Wednesday after work lessons are proving very popular. Junior group lessons have started up again on Saturday afternoons between 1pm and 2pm so if you any children you know who might want to give golf a try, please bring them along. If the weather is too cold or wet we tend to stay in the Swing Zone and have plenty of fun and games in there.

Coming soon I will be releasing a lesson calendar for the year. On the calendar will be a list of all the coaching programmes I will be doing throughout the course of the year. These lessons will be mostly group lessons open to all members covering all aspects of the game. Keep an eye on this newsletter for more details!
